The LWD-4080 Antenna

A variation on the LW-10, the LWD-4080 offers the lower 60m (5MHz) and 80m (3.5MHz) bands without all the extral length making it ideal for the smaller urban gardens. Use of an heavy duty inductive loading coil 10.14m along the radiating wire and then a short (2m) capacitive wire at the end allows tuning across the whole of the 80m band. The coil acts as a trap at higher frequencies allowing the antenna to operate as a standard long wire from 40m to 6m.

As with all M0CVO long wire antennas, the LWD-4080 incorporates the M0CVO 9:1 UNUN at the feedpoint enabling it to be fed directly with 50ohm coaxial cable to your ATU. The 9:1 UNUN also removes static noise and provides a DC path to earth. The antenna is able to handle up to 400W RF.
